The Next Level 3600 t-shirt, as it’s popularly known, is made of 100% combed ring-spun cotton except for the Heather Grey color option which is a 90/10 cotton-polyester blend. The t-shirt is also fabric laundered, giving it reasonable resistance to shrinkage and enhanced softness. It’s softer than plain cotton tees and very comfortable to wear in summer.

While the NL3600 t-shirt is made of combed ring-spun cotton, the Hanes 4980 cotton t-shirt is made of US-grown ring-spun cotton, which isn’t combed. Combed ring-spun cotton is certainly softer as it is a refined version of ring-spun cotton. Both t-shirts’ fabric material is preshrunk. When it comes to printability, Hanes 4980 has an edge due to its Clean Canvas fabric technology. Hanes also offers a little more color choices. To break it down, the Next Level 3600 is softer and smoother, while Hanes 4980 offers slightly better printability and more color choices.
