Question 1

How does Independent Trading compare to Gildan, Bella+Canvas, LA Apparel, or Champion for hoodies and sweatshirts?

Accepted Answer

Just like other leading brands in the wholesale apparel industry, Independent Trading Company also offers blank apparel that can be customized. The brand’s hoodies and sweatshirts are highly regarded by screen printers and embroiderers because of their cozy feel, high-quality cotton blend fabric, and smooth finish for decorations. Independent Trading Company blanks are a step up in quality compared to basic brands like Gildan or Jerzees, yet they’re not as pricey. The offerings consistently yielded happy end-users garnering excellent reviews that praise both the quality and printability. Even small businesses and startups find the garments’ price-to-quality excellent.

Question 2

Is Independent Trading Company a reliable blank apparel brand for merch and streetwear?

Accepted Answer

Totally. Independent Trading Company is all about blank apparel with modern fits and exceptional comfort, designed to make both decorators and wearers happy in every way. This makes it a solid choice for merchandising.

Question 3

Why are Independent Trading Co sweatshirts and fleeces popular choices for decorators and custom apparel brands?

Accepted Answer

Blank sweatshirts and fleece hoodies from Independent Trading Company are made of premium materials, offer mostly modern fits, and are designed to be print-friendly. Many of our customers love the softness of the ringspun cotton sweatshirts and also praise the construction quality. The garments are designed to look and feel high-end without costing as much. It is true that the brand is “decorator-approved”.

Question 4

What is the Independent Trading Company IND4000 heavyweight hoodie, and how does it compare to the SS4500 midweight?

Accepted Answer

The IND4000 is Independent Trading Co.’s classic heavyweight hoodie, weighing in around 10 oz, which makes it thicker and warmer than the midweight SS4500. In terms of feel, the IND4000 has a more substantial fleece making it the cozier, albeit slightly, hoodie among the two. Even with the heavier fabric, the IND4000 prints and embroiders just as smoothly as the SS4500, owing to the quality 100% cotton-faced fleece. The main differences are the weight and a slightly higher price point: the IND4000 costs a bit more due to the extra material and heft, but it’s still competitively priced in YouApparel for a heavyweight blank. In practice, many brands will use the SS4500 for general-purpose hoodies and switch to the IND4000 when they want to offer a more premium, thick sweatshirt. At the end of the day, both carry Independent’s reliable construction and soft interior, so you can’t go wrong either way.

Question 5

How is the sizing and fit of Independent Trading Company sweatshirts?

Accepted Answer

The blank sweatshirts in YouApparel from Independent Trading Company are generally true to size, according to many of our customers. Most of them have a standard unisex fit. Unlike some fashion-forward brands that run very slim, an Independent Trading hoodie tends to have a comfortable, slightly roomy cut without being oversized or boxy. For example, many wearers note that if they normally wear a certain size in a typical retail hoodie, the same size in an Independent hoodie fits as expected or even with a bit more ease. The fleece in particular will most likely accommodate most body types, because it isn’t super skinny or too roomy. Of course, if someone prefers a really snug, form-fitting look, they might size down, but overall these hoodies are designed to fit the average person well and feel cozy. The size range is not as extensive as many other brands. Independent Trading offers extended sizes (often XS up to 3XL in core styles).

Question 6

Do Independent Trading hoodies shrink after washing? What care instructions minimize shrinkage?

Accepted Answer

Independent Trading Company’s blank hooded sweatshirts are built for comfort, printability, and durability. Everything that makes it as amazing as the offerings from premium brands. They are built to last wash and wear, as the brand uses split-stitched double-needle sewing on all seams, in some of their best offerings. This way the garments resist seam tearing. The cotton material in most of their styles’ fabric is still prone to shrinkage. If you follow the care instructions on the garments’ label, the shrinkage can be minimized. The fabric also holds up well in terms of pilling as the smooth face and quality yarn keeps the print surface relatively pill-free. Overall, customers report that these sweatshirts keep their shape and softness over time.

Question 7

Can I use private labels on styles like SS4500, IND4000, and PRM3500?

Accepted Answer

Except for the PRM3500, the SS4500 and IND4000 sweatshirts come with tear-away labels. They can be rebranded with private labels. The PRM3500 has a woven label, which cannot be torn away.

Question 8

Are there garment-dyed or pigment-dyed options within Independent Trading?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are a few including the PRM3500 and the PRM4500, the PRM50PTPD pigment-dyed fleece pants, and even a special California “wave wash” PRM2000 sweatshirt. Check out our collection for styles that suit your requirements.

Question 9

Where can I buy Independent Trading hoodies in bulk online?

Accepted Answer

Buying Independent Trading Co hoodies from retail stores may cost more. The best bet is to go for online wholesale sources where you get blank apparel at the least possible per-unit price. YouApparel is one such source offering competitive per-unit prices and attractive bulk discounts on all Independent Trading Company apparel. Additionally, ordering blank apparel in bulk from YouApparel can also qualify for free shipping, provided the order value is above $159.

Question 10

What are the minimum order quantities (MOQ) for assorted sizes and colors for Independent Trading Company blank apparel?

Accepted Answer

There are none. YouApparel has no purchase minimums. So you can order one or as many as you like while still getting our low per-unit prices. However, we recommend bulk orders to maximize the value of your purchase as this will add our bulk discounts which cut per-unit prices even further for many styles.
